Lady Gaga pays tribute to the legendary Elton John with her just-released reworking of his 1970 hit “Your Song.” Released today (March 30), the anthem is included on the Revamp tribute album being put together in honor of the “Piano Man” crooner and his iconic songwriting partner Bernie Taupin. Unsurprisingly, Mother Monster’s take on the track is stunning. In the “Joanne” diva’s very capable hands, it is another remarkable production complete with an evocative vocal line and a rousing instrumentation.

“Your Song” joins Demi Lovato and Q-Tip’s “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” on the Revamp tracklist. Of the pair, Gaga’s reworking strays less from the original production. In comparison, the Tell Me You Love Me siren and her collaborator put a decidedly fresh spin on their anthem with a jazzy instrumentation. It will be interesting to see how the remaining tracks on the compilation measure up in comparison.

Other songs to keep an eye peeled for ahead of the albums’ April 6 release date include contributions from the likes of Miley Cyrus, Pink, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran. Elton himself will appear alongside the Beautiful Trauma siren and rapper Logic on a reworking of “Bennie and The Jets,” which is sure to be a highlight.

Country fans can also check out Restoration, which is set to drop alongside Revamp next week. After establishing her crossover success on Younger Now, Miley is the only act to feature on both LPs with “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” appearing on Revamp and “The Bitch Is Back” on Restoration. While we wait for the remaining covers, give Gaga’s reworking a spin below!
