Zayn Malik makes a sweeping gesture with his new single “Let Me.” The 25-year-old rolled out his latest bop today (April 12), and it is a R&B-infused lovers anthem. Reuniting with production duo MYKL who helped helm his debut single “Pillowtalk,” he returns to the scene with what sounds like a potentially massive hit. “Sweet baby, our sex has meaning. Know this time you’ll stay ’til the morning,” he croons over sugary beats on the opening lines. As he moves into the chorus, the former One Directioner makes a bid to take the budding relationship to the next level. “Baby, let me be your man so I can love you. And if you let me be your man, then I’ll take care of you.”

The cinematic video serves as a continuation to last year’s “Dusk Till Dawn.” In the José Padilha-directed extravaganza, Zayn lives a life of intrigue. He and iconic actor Steven Bauer pull off the ultimate heist, but in the end he gives everything up to run off with a romantic interest. Delivering tense action scenes and an engaging plot, it is a must-see video that ends with a cliff-hanger. Hopefully, we will get to see the lovers find a fitting conclusion shortly. Zayn’s highly anticipated sophomore LP is due sometime this year and it looks like the music will be accompanied by a thrilling visual saga. Check out the video up top!
