The ’90s music scene saw an explosion of grunge and alternative rock. Many of the singers and musicians experienced their height of fame and commercial success during that decade. Most of them continue to perform, write music, and tour the world. Several have even branched out into acting and politics. One rocker bought a wrestling alliance, while another bought a coffee shop. Courtney Love Was Marginally Successful Following Her Famous Husband’s Death

Singer and guitarist Courtney Love formed the alternative rock band Hole in 1989. They released their debut album, Pretty on the Inside, in 1991. She famously married Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain and had a daughter with him before his death. Hole’s third album, Celebrity Skin (1998), was nominated for three Grammy Awards.
Love is also a pretty decent actress. She has appeared in several films, including 2002’s Trapped with Kevin Bacon and Charlize Theron. She’s been to rehab several times and released one solo album. She wrote a memoir in 2014. She has been a part of amfAR’s AIDS research benefits as well as other charitable causes.
