Sam Hunt Conquers 'Seth Meyers'
Sam brought 'Break Up In A Small Town' to 'Late Night With Seth Meyers.'

Sam Hunt obliterated genre lines on his mega-selling debut LP, Montevallo. He combined spoken verses (think of it as Nashville rapping), pop hooks and some good old country twang to create something that felt vibrant and new. The album produced five platinum or multi-platinum singles, and heralded the 33-year-old as one of country’s hottest new talents. And then the first single from his sophomore LP, “Body Like A Back Road,” established him as a superstar. The song spent a whopping 34 weeks at number one on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and became the third-highest selling digital single of 2017.

It goes without saying then, that expectations for the followup are high. After a lengthy break, which he seems to have spent growing some impressive facial hair, Sam returns tomorrow (May 16) with a new single called “Downtown’s Dead.” The hitmaker announced the single via his social media accounts and shared a couple of pictures of what seems to be a cute, little Mexican village. It will be interesting to see if that’s where he filmed the video. Check out Sam’s cryptic teasers below.
