'The Voice' Winner Drops 'Come This Far'
Chloe Kohanski, season 13 winner of 'The Voice,' drops her debut single.

Congratulations are in order for Maddie Poppe. Last night (May 21), the 20-year-old was crowned the winner of the 16th season of American Idol. She celebrated the win by inking a recording contract with Hollywood Records and unveiling her debut single, “Going Going Gone.” Paying tribute to her signature folksy vibes, the track is a vibrant anthem. “Maybe I was meant to run. Maybe I was born to bleed. I don’t know who I’ll become, but I’ll be going going gone,” she belts on the sing-along chorus. It is a bright moment of pop magic, and it could shape up to be something of a radio hit for the rising star.

Maddie debuted the track with a live performance on the finale and has several appearances scheduled in the coming days. Keep an eye peeled for her to drop by Jimmy Kimmel Live to dazzle the late-night show with her vibey track. She will also take the stage at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards on June 22, and fans can watch her performance when it airs on Disney Channel on Saturday, June 23. Over the summer she and the remainder of this season’s Top 7 will embark upon the American Idol Live! tour. Opening on July 11 in Redding, California, the group will be joined by Kris Allen and occasionally by boy band In Real Life. By then we will likely have heard more new music from the hitmaker.

Boasting an anthemic production and her buoyant vocal performance, “Going Going Gone” is a promising debut and promises big things on the horizon. Give Maddie’s single a spin below!
