UPDATE: Loote and Joe Jonas’ “Longer Than I Thought” has arrived. Stream it in full below.

Joe Jonas joined forces with up-and-coming pop duo Loote on their new single “Longer Than I Thought.” Emma Lov and Jackson Foote have landed serious streaming hits with “High Without Your Love” and “Out Of My Head.” Their last outing, “Your Side of the Bed,” was another win. It has amassed more than 13 million streams on Spotify since March. They are due for their major commercial breakout moment and teaming up with the DNCE frontman will hopefully help them net their first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100. They announced the collaboration earlier this week, and the track drops tomorrow (May 25). Based on a teaser that appeared online, it sounds like a club-ready breakup anthem that is sure to dominate radio for months to come.

“I would have liked to hit the ground running, but I fell into you. Wanted to call you, but now it’s overdue. It’s gonna take me longer than I thought to get over you,” they lament over a buoyant beat. It sounds like there is a massive break on the way as the teaser fades out. We’ll know more when it drops tonight, but it sounds like the trio has a serious hit on their hands. With any luck, they will be able to replicate the success of DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean” and storm the charts this summer. The writers behind Demi Lovato and Cheat Code’s “No Promises” deserve a breakthrough moment, and this could be it. Check out the teaser below and keep an eye peeled for us to update the post with an official streaming link once it drops!
