Kris Wu's Sexy 'Like That' Video
The C-Pop superstar's 'Like That' video is a sexy, special effects-filled journey.

While K-Pop is enjoying a higher profile than ever thanks to the global success of BTS, it looks like C-Pop mania might be taking hold of America. Chinese superstar Kris Wu has spent most of the last week at number one on iTunes with breezy bop “Like That” and now it looks like countryman and former bandmate (they were both in EXO) might take over. Z.TAO, better known to friends and family as Huang Zitao, is currently sitting at number two on iTunes with “Misunderstand.” Given the massive spike in sales, he could reach the top in a matter of hours.

While Kris’ music is heavily-influenced by hip-hop, it seems that Z.TAO draws inspiration from EDM. (After all, “Beggar” was the theme Song for EDC China 2018). “Misunderstand” is a dreamy electronic bop with both English and Chinese lyrics. It’s a little hard to make out some of them, but the refrain — “We could party all night, no sleep!” — comes through loud and clear. He also raps a verse at the end of the song. I hope the globalization of pop continues. It’s exciting to see new faces wreaking havoc on the charts.
