Maroon 5 & Cardi B’s Star-Studded “Girls Like You” Video
Maroon 5’s ability to churn out hits is unprecedented. Since debuting in 2002, the band has managed to charm radio and fans time and time again. A trend that continues with the Red Pill Blues era. After a couple of buzz tracks, they hit their stride (and returned to the top 10) with the SZA-assisted “What Lovers Do.” That was followed by the inescapable “Wait” and now “Girls Like You,” which is being released with a rap feature from Cardi B. The video arrived today (May 31) and it’s a star-studded affair.
The premise is simple. Adam Levine belts out the song at the microphone with his band members performing against the wall. He is then joined by a string of female celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Gal Gadot, Ellen DeGeneres, Mary J. Blige, Sarah Silverman and Camila Cabello. The video, which was directed by David Dobkin, is destined to go viral and rack up those all important YouTube views. At this point, it almost goes without saying that “Girls Like You” is going to be big. Watch up top.
