Lost Hit: Madonna's 'Hold Tight'
The Queen of Pop really should have released 'Hold Tight' as a single.

It’s no secret that the Queen of Pop is hard at work on her 14th album. Madonna has kept fans in the loop with a flood of social media updates and even performed a new song called “Beautiful Game” at the Met Gala last month. In the last 24 hours, the 59-year-old has fired off two cryptic tweets that suggest that new music isn’t too far away. She began by posting a boomerang video of her dancing in the studio with the hashtag “finally enough love.” I’m not sure if that’s a lyric or a potential song title.

Madonna followed that up with a tweet this morning (June 5) that reads: “Cooking Up something Yummy today.” She tagged Mirwais in the post — the producer behind her iconic 2000 LP, Music. The “Living For Love” hitmaker has spent a lot of time in the studio with him of late (he’s also produced “Beautiful Game”), which suggests that he might be in charge of the whole album. It makes sense given her Instagram outburst about working with too many producers on recent albums including Rebel Heart.

“Remember when I made records with other artists from beginning to end and I was allowed to be a visionary and not have to go to song writing camps where no one can sit still for more than 15 minutes,” she commented on one of Guy Oseary’s Instagram posts. It looks like Madonna got her wish! Revisit the pop legend’s most successful collaboration with Mirwais below.
