Julia Michaels has a serious hit on her hands with her Trippie Redd-assisted “Jump.” The besotted anthem has amassed more than 17 million streams on Spotify in just over a month and could easily become the siren’s most successful single since “Issues” with the right push. A stand-out performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live offered additional exposure, but that was just the start. Today (June 8) the 24-year-old rolled out a neon-drenched video in support of the single, and it is one of her most aesthetically pleasing to date. In it she and her collaborator deliver serious looks in an empty car lot. Hazy filters and a fog machine add an element of intrigue, and the “Heaven” diva sizzles under the jewel-toned lights.

“Jump” is the first taste of the hitmaker’s debut LP. It follows her well-received Nervous System EP, which dropped to strong reviews last year. Since then, Julia has showcased her brilliant sensibilities on a variety of projects. She contributed a pair of tracks to the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack and delivered a string of stand-out collaborations with the likes of Clean Bandit and Maroon 5. Most recently, she is showing off her crossover abilities with a feature on Keith Urban’s “Coming Home” and an acoustic spot on Shawn Mendes’ self-titled LP. She also has writing credits on the “In My Blood” crooner’s “Nervous” and will pop up on Christina Aguilera’s Liberation. Check out her video up top and revisit her emotional “Issues” video below!
