Madison Beer switched things up in 2017. After making her debut with perky synth-pop singles like “All For Love” and “Unbreakable,” the 19-year-old went in a different direction with her emo banger “Dead.” A fierce breakup anthem, it boasted one of the best lyrics of the year (“You say you can’t live without me, so why aren’t you dead yet?” I’m still slayed) and became a breakout hit on streaming services. Amassing more than 70 million streams on Spotify alone, it introduced a new era for the siren. This year she kept the ball rolling by unveiling her debut EP, As She Pleases. The collection’s second single, “Say It To My Face,” performed respectably. But it looks like she struck gold with her current release “Home With You.”

“I ain’t got no time for no games. Tell me what you like, but it’s never gonna change. So you do what you wan-wanna do. And I’m not going home with you,” she chants on the sing-along chorus. The self-assured anthem is becoming something of a breakout hit for Madison. The track is her first to appear on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart. It is currently sitting at the number 35 spot, and its new video is sure to give it a boost. Released today (June 14), the visual is a retro extravaganza. In it, the pop princess hits the skate park to deliver serious poses. She also features a crew of break-dancers, a bar scene and some truly chic looks. Although it doesn’t follow a single plot, it’s a vibrant release that is sure to resonate with the hitmaker’s fans.

All things considered, I wouldn’t be surprised if the video helps propel “Home With You” even higher up the charts. It could easily go viral, and Madison may even make her first appearance on the Hot 100 this year! Give her latest release a view up top and revisit “Dead” below!
