Shakira & Maluma’s “Clandestino” Video Is Shaping Up To Be A Sexy Affair
Shakira and Maluma have the Midas touch when it comes to music videos. The Colombian superstars hit the jackpot with the visual for 2016 smash “Chantaje,” racking up a whopping 2.1 billion views on YouTube. Their next offering, “Trap,” could only manage 100 million — but that’s still impressive given that they spent most of the clip hidden by clouds of smoke. The King and Queen of Latin-pop are currently filming the video for “Clandestino” (their third collaboration) and it’s shaping up to be a sexy affair.
The “Me Enamoré” diva shared a preview of the video on social media and it finds her writhing in a cage, while her duet partner gazes at her. I’m getting flashbacks to Shakira’s iconic “She Wolf” video, which had a very similar aesthetic. With a sizzling visual on the way, “Clandestino” is going to be unstoppable. The song’s audio video has already been played more than 50 million times in the last two weeks, while Spotify users have contributed 15 million streams. Watch a preview of the couple’s next blockbuster below.
