June's Diary Drop "L.A.N.C.E." Video
'Chasing Destiny' group June's Diary take no prisoners in their fiery "L.A.N.C.E." video.

June’s Diary, a girl group curated by Kelly Rowland and Frank Gatson Jr. on BET reality show Chasing Destiny, dropped their debut EP, All Of Us, on Saturday night (June 30) and promptly shot to #1 on the R&B albums chart on iTunes. They should be on top of the world right now, but the release was accompanied by an open letter explaining that they have been dropped by their label. “Following LA Reid’s departure from Epic Records at the start of 2017, we were released from the label,” the ladies write.

“We’ve faced so many challenges working as independent artists to create music we love, music that inspires us, music that makes us feel, and on our own terms,” June’s Diary continues. “But all these setbacks have only made us stronger and have brought us closer together. We’ve been working super hard on our debut EP and can’t wait to share our new music with you!” As it turns out, the EP was worth the wait. There’s a fiery remix of “All Of Us” featuring Trina, the relatable “His Phone” and a feature from Jussie Smollett on “Hurt People.”

If you like smooth vocals, real emotions and sexy grooves, this is your new soundtrack. And hopefully, there’s a lot more to come. “Industry b.s. aside, we believe in music and R&B and this is just the beginning for us,” the girl group concluded their letter. “Thank you sooooo much for being patient and riding so hard for us.” You can stream June’s Diary’s debut EP below.
