Jack Johnson is embarking on his All The Light Above It Too World Tour in 2018, which in itself is already doing a lot to change the world. Jack Johnson’s concerts are famously sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Johnson has eliminated single-use plastics at his shows and encourages concert-goers to bring their own water bottles. The concerts feature filling stations and food vendors that sell locally grown food. “We’re part of an industry that makes a lot of single-use plastic and a pretty huge carbon footprint,” Johnson told IndyStar. Johnson and his wife Kim founded the Johnson Ohana Foundation in 2008 to support organizations that focus on environmental, art, and music education.

One band was banned from a music festival for their views on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
