Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande travel to a tropical paradise in their sensual “Bed” video. The pair linked up on two tracks over the course of the last month and a half. They dazzled on Ari’s “The Light Is Coming” off Sweetener and highlighted their perfect chemistry on the rapper’s current Queen single. Late last night (July 6) they got around to rolling out their new visual, and it is a luxurious must-see. In it, they live out everyone’s summer fantasies. Relaxing on the beach, twerking by the pool and serving fabulous looks in a gorgeous beach house, every second will leave you with a serious case of FOMO. The “Chun-Li” hitmaker inexplicably dons a mermaid tail (an iconic look), and the duo cap off the video by finding an equally sexy pair of romantic leads to keep them busy.

It has only been out for a handful of hours, but the video already stirred up a bit of drama. Eternally controversial rapper and professional beef queen Azealia Banks took issue with Nicki’s tail before the visual even dropped. The “Anna Wintour” rapper has been rocking a similar look since rolling out Fantasea in 2012. And she did not take kindly to the similarities. “Why does Nicki Minaj have to be so damn corny,” she began one of her trademark Twitter rants. “Like sometimes it’s just like sis!!! Find some art!!! Please!!” Fans also rushed to Twitter to voice their nerves as they waited for a confirmation about when the release was coming. “I said today. I didn’t say what time ma’am. So there r still hours left in this day,” Nicki teased her fans.

In the end, the video was definitely worth the wait. And it turns out that there is another one the way. “One more thing; there r 2 #BedVideo edits, as there were 2 directors involved. You’ll see the first today,” she explained. “I’ll prob release the other edit in a week. Idk.” In the meantime, the first visual has racked up nearly 500,000 videos in less than two hours. Combined with streams on Spotify (it is currently sitting comfortably in the Global Top 50), and this should definitely give the track a boost on the charts. While we wait for the second version check out the first up top. You can also revisit the pair’s “The Light Is Coming” below!
