Why Don’t We Drops The Video For iTunes-Topping Single “Talk”
One of the more exciting pop developments of 2017 was the resurgence of boy bands. In Real Life, PRETTYMUCH and Why Don’t We have all eked out loyal followings, but the latter five-piece is pulling ahead as far as commercial success. Take their latest single, “Talk.” The perky pop song dropped on Friday and soared straight to number one on iTunes. It’s yet another sign that the band’s slow and steady grass-roots approach is working (they grow their fan base with YouTube videos, constant touring and a steady stream of releases).
Why Don’t We also has a knack for cute videos. “Talk” was filmed on the European leg of the quintet’s Invitation Tour and finds Daniel Seavey, Zach Herron, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais and Jack Avery taking in the sights of Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Manchester, Hamburg, Helsinki and other world metropoles. There’s a little emoting, a lot of cheese and some pretty scenery. All in all, it’s an enjoyable three and a half minutes. Watch the rising stars in action up top.
