Dee Dee Plays The Wrong Girl And Pays For It

During the early days of the band, Dee Dee was in a relationship with Connie Gripp aka Connie Ramone. She was a sex worker who was addicted to her job. When Dee Dee was living with Connie in ’77, he cheated on her with Nancy Spungen.
Connie walked in on Nancy, and Dee Dee getting it on and broke a beer bottle. She ended up slicing him on the behind, leaving a permanent scar. Vera Ramone King (Dee Dee’s Wife) wrote about it in her book. “He had a huge scar on his [expletive] for the rest of his life from that horrific relationship, just because she had caught him cheating on her,” she wrote. “Connie was a pathetic person, and a stalker to boot.”
