Before she worked with Andy Warhol, Isabelle Collin Dufresne aka Ultra Violet, was Salvador Dali’s muse and lover. She said, “I realized that I was ‘surreal’, which I never knew until I met Dalí.”

Dali introduced her to Warhol, and she soon became a regular at The Factory. Warhol was the one who suggested she go by the stage name “Ultra Violet” due to her purple dyed hair. She appeared in over a dozen of his films and was Warhol’s main muse until she lost her position to Viva.
