Julia Michaels has consistently dropped content throughout 2018. The hitmaker kicked off the year by teaming up with up-and-comer Noah Kahan on “Hurt Somebody” and contributed a pair of tracks to the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack. Of the two, “Heaven” is a searing standout, and the accompanying video is an appropriately sexy affair. She landed a duet on Shawn Mendes’ self-titled LP before teaming up with Trippie Redd on her lovesick “Jump.” Today (July 25), she links up with RL Grime and Miguel on “Light Me Up,” and the trio could easily dominate radio with the romantic bop.

The producer kicked off his sophomore LP by teaming up with Daya on “I Wanna Know” earlier this year. Since then he has dropped a string of buzz tracks. His latest is an anthemic and loved up duet between the two featured vocalists. “You can dry your tears every time us change. Calm your fears, you can climb again,” Miguel croons on the opening lines. Julia comes in for a verse of her own and delivers an equally compelling vocal line. “And I will guide you. Let me remind you, heights I will fly to. Depths I will dive to. Yeah I’ll always find you.” They come together for some sweet harmonies, making for a gorgeous listen.

With any luck the trio will land a serious hit with “Light Me Up.” Hopefully they will be able to get together to film a video, which will give the anthem a boost up the charts. Give it a spin below!
