Era Istrefi has kept the hits coming since dropping her global smash “Bonbon” in 2016. The Albanian pop princess followed up her breakout release with a slew of hot tracks that showcase her range. Recently she teamed up with Nicky Jam and Will Smith on the anthemic “Live It Up,” which served as the official song of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. They performed the Diplo-produced banger during the finals in Russia. She followed that up with the reggae-infused “Prisoner,” which was another massive win. Today (July 26), she is back at it with her new single, “Oh God.” Linking up with Jamaican artist, Konshens, it is another dancehall inspired bop.

“You make me feel like a god when I hear you say ‘oh god, oh god,” she coos over the sensual production. It sounds like another serious hit and boasts a sexually powerful message. “‘Oh God’ is an empowering song with sexual undertones discreetly revealed via it’s lyrics and vibe. It’s beautifully expressed with metaphors paired with an infectious, cool hiphop-pop kinda beat.” Era said of the new single. She also opened up about her collaborator and how exciting it was to work with him. “I’ve always liked Konshens and his music, so it was great to have him team up with me on the song.”

She also described the video, shot on location in Jamaica, as “incredible.” In it, the diva plays the role of a beautiful sea creature. She emerges from the ocean in the midst of a storm and comes on land for an evening of revelries. “The Jamaican culture is just amazing and I felt like such a part of it. It was so much fun and I loved dancing with everyone, including Konshens,” she added. However, her night on land cannot last for forever. “It’s kind of a Cinderella story and when everything starts to get wet at the party before midnight, I need to run back to the sea (back to my world),” she explained.

We’re excited to premiere Era’s new single. Check out the official video below!
