Tiffany Young teaches a class on POP101 in the newly released video for her current single, “Over My Skin.” K-Pop fans are already familiar with the 29-year-old both from her role in Girls’ Generation and impeccable solo single “I Just Wanna Dance.” But earlier this year she turned her eyes on American markets with the release of her liberating banger. Yesterday (August 1) the siren celebrated her birthday. She stretched out the festivities by uploading the Daniel Park-directed visual early today. In it, she assumes the role of a professor at Young Pop Academy where she teaches rising stars about how to avoid self-doubt and be confident in their own abilities.

The “class” is broken down into 5 sections according to a post on Tiffany’s Instagram. “Lesson 1: OWN your style… Lesson 2: WERK that social media… Lesson 3: Facing Criticism … Lesson 4 :focus on the music, & in the end, Lesson 5 : taking your career in your own hands + learning all crafts.” Boasting gorgeous styling and a creative concept, the video is likely to go massively viral. It amassed more than 140K views in the first six hours of release and has steadily increased since then. With its empowering message, the diva’s latest is also deeply personal. In a press release, she opened up about exactly what shooting it meant to her.

“Recently I’ve been learning all angles of the music industry from developing and producing my merch, music video editing and concept design, songwriting and production, budgeting and so much more in my own career,” she explained. “This music video reflects situations where I’ve had to overcome my insecurities as a performer, shut out any fears or short comings, and feel good in my own skin. Through this process I encourage everyone that’s following their dreams and passionate about what they love, to take their destiny into their own hands, learn as much as you can about your craft and keep learning, let’s inspire each other to grow.” The rising star is definitely one to keep an eye on in the coming months.

With plans to release an EP in early 2019, it is clear more music will be on the way. And you will not want to miss out. Watch her innovative new release up top!
