Anne-Marie's Nostalgic '2002' Video
The rising British pop star channels Britney Spears in the video for '2002.'

David Guetta and Anne-Marie rolled out the video for “Don’t Leave Me Alone” today (August 20) and it’s a futuristic saga. Directed by Hannah Lux David (she also did the French DJ’s “Hey Mama”), the clip finds Anne-Marie enjoying a little romance in a virtual world. The special effects are well done and it brings a fresh perspective to the increasingly predictable world of music videos. “Don’t Leave Me Alone” has already racked up 30 million streams and could be a late summer hit.

If so, it would be the breakout pop star’s third major smash in a row. Anne-Marie landed her biggest hit to date with “Friends,” a collaboration with Marshmello. That song reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and cracked the top 10 in most markets. She experienced similar success with the nostalgic “2002,” which Ed Sheeran co-penned. At this point, the 27-year-old is arguably one of the most consistent hitmakers in pop. Watch her latest video up top.
