Carly Rae Jepsen Promises That There Is A “New Era On The Horizon”
There is a (pop) God! After what feels like an eternity, Carly Rae Jepson is on the brink of a new era. Canada’s queen of synth-pop confirmed as much in an Instagram post celebrating 2016 LP, Side B. “Happy 2 year anniversary to the album that almost never was,” she wrote. “Thank you to the loves in my life who pushed me for more and that means YOU! New era on the horizon and I feel excited and nervous but mostly just grateful. Hold tight.” It goes without saying that this is very, very welcome news.
Carly Rae has been chipping away at this opus for a while now. The 32-year-old promised that new music was on the way in December, 2017 and shared a snippet of a new song, possibly called “This Love Isn’t Crazy,” in April. She has already confirmed that more than 80 tracks have been recorded for the album (hopefully, we get a Side B, C & D this time!) and alluded to a disco sound in previous interviews. Bring it on.
