They say you should be wary of meeting your idols. You could either be incredibly honored and inspired, or you could be immensely disappointed. Unfortunately for these fans, they’ve had the latter experience with the famous musicians that they’ve met in their lives. Some celebrities seem to forget what it’s like to be a normal person, which might be why they’ve been flat-out rude to these fans.

Alice Cooper Pinned These Fans To The Wall

Rocker Alice Cooper apparently has no time to meet you – even if you’ve just waited hours outside the backstage door to meet him. One person recalls that when they were 14, they went to an Alice Cooper concert and waited outside the venue for five hours to get a chance to see him.

When he finally came, Cooper allegedly had his security guards pin the teenaged fan and his friend to the wall, just so he could walk past without being bothered. He didn’t even say hello to the fans. Sadly for these guys, their image of their favorite rocker was forever tarnished.

Don Henley Has No Heart For Disabilities

Founding Eagles member Don Henley is a pretty insensitive guy, apparently. One Redditor recalled a story in which his girlfriend encountered Henley at a grocery store where she worked. Henley and his kid were in line to pay, but a woman with her child was in front of them.

According to the story, the mother’s kid was autistic and started having issues. The Redditor’s girlfriend was kind and patient in trying to help the mother, but when it was finally Henley’s turn to pay, he berated the girlfriend for not rushing the mother out and for allowing everyone to see the child’s episode.

Jared Leto Does Not Have Time For Jokes

Jared Leto may be a rocker and great method actor, but when it comes to real life, apparently he’s a mean guy. There are multiple accounts of his being rude to non-celebrities, and in one case he let an extra on set have it for bumping into him.

In this instance, an extra on Suicide Squad was jokingly told to “bump” into Leto on set and she innocently took the bait. After she pretended to bump into him, he apparently got so upset and blew things so far out of proportion that he instantly wanted her fired from the set!

Jared Leto Really Doesn’t Care About Your Job

When it comes to his musical pursuits, Jared Leto is apparently not any nicer. Leto is in the band Thirty Seconds to Mars. At one of their concerts, someone who was working as a sound technician needed to ask Leto some questions in order to set up.

The technician waited for Leto, who was tuning his guitar backstage. Apparently, Leto felt the guy lingering and asked, “Can I [expletive] help you?” To which the guy replied that he simply needed to do his job. That wasn’t a good enough answer for Leto, told the guy to buzz off!

Green Day Doesn’t Want Anyone In Their Way

Billy Joe Armstrong and the fellow members of Green Day were caught acting like a bunch of entitled rock stars at the height of their fame. One Redditor was walking around New Orleans when a limo pulled up near them and Green Day got out.

The band members all had drinks in their hands and walked into a hotel without acknowledging anyone. While Armstrong didn’t pay any mind to the Redditor, one of the Green Day members felt it necessary to yell, “Move, [expletive!]” to them even though they clearly weren’t in the way.

Gene Simmons Kept It Too Real With This Fan

Gene Simmons has disappointed more than a few KISS fans in his day. One person on Reddit recalled the time his brother played the guitar at a concert Gene Simmons attended. It might be a little intimidating to have to play an instrument in front of a famous rocker, but it’s another thing to have your dreams crushed by one.

After the concert, this person’s brother had the chance to actually meet Gene Simmons. Even though Simmons complemented the brother on his guitar-playing skills, he still thought it appropriate to say, “too bad you’ll never make it.”

Rihanna Didn’t Even Pretend To Act Like She Cared

Rihanna doesn’t even care to feign interest for appearances she’s paid to make, apparently. One Redditor recalled that they were working on the USS George Washington in Japan, when Rihanna was given a tour.

This person was assigned to the staff that was to follow her around and they remember her acting disinterested and bored throughout the whole tour. After the tour, she signed a few autographs, but that was it for the singer. Despite ignoring the entire tour, she allegedly still took the time to go on Twitter and comment on how dirty the ship was.

Kid Rock Destroyed This Musician’s Guitar

It’s one thing to be able to rock out with a famous celebrity, but it’s another thing entirely for them to ruin a good thing. In one guy’s case, that included destroying a family heirloom.

At a bar in Detroit, one musician had the chance to meet Kid Rock and even ended up playing a couple songs with him. But at the end of it, Kid Rock decided to be a “rockstar,” took the musician’s guitar, and threw it over the building. To add insult to injury, the guitar has been in the musician’s family for years!

This Fan Got Sweet Revenge On Elton John

Elton John is perhaps one of the most legendary musicians out there. Many fans probably hope that Sir Elton John is a nice guy in real life, but one guy told Reddit that this isn’t necessarily the case.

After John got off his private plane, the Redditor said hi to him as he got into his limo. Elton John could have simply said hi back or even waved, but instead he gave the fan a condescending laugh and went on his way. Out of spite, the fan stole Jello and pudding cups out of John’s luggage as they loaded it into the limo.

Lou Reed Won’t Even Say Hi To You

One Velvet Underground fan had the chance to meet Lou Reed when they were 18 years old. The fan told Reddit that they had just moved to New York City for school. One day while walking through the Lower East Side, the fan saw Lou Reed.

Excited, all the fan did was say hi, but Reed had a less than pleasant response for them. “Go [expletive] yourself,” Reed told the fan. The fan stood their in astonishment, but for what it’s worth, their feelings don’t seem to have been hurt. Still, this doesn’t exactly pain a nice picture of Lou Reed.

This Is An Unsurprising Kanye West Encounter

At this point, why should anyone be surprised about anything Kanye does? But two years ago, this Reddit user got a little more of Kanye than they bargained for at an LA grocery store.

The fan met Kanye and told him how cool it was to meet him, but said he wouldn’t bother with asking for a picture or anything. But Kanye unsurprisingly responded in a rude way and continued to befuddle the fan by talking over him. Afterward, Kanye attempted to walk out of the store without paying for his candy bars and gave the cashier a hard time about it.

Demi Lovato Was Too Busy For This Fan

Demi Lovato may have been a diva to some of her young fans. It seems unlikely for a pop star whose fan base is particularly young, but apparently Lovato wasn’t too concerned with how the fans perceived her on this particular day.

One Redditor said that they saw Demi Lovato in line at a smoothie shop. The Redditor’s nine-year-old cousin was a huge fan and asked Lovato for an autograph. Unfortunately, the fan got a mouthful from Lovato, who ultimately said she was too busy for a simple autograph. Demi could have been nice to this fan, especially since it was a kid!

Adam Levine Cares If His Fans Are Pretty Or Not

Adam Levine is reportedly pretty shallow when it comes to his fans. Regardless of if he’s a shallow person in real life or not, he should at least know when to keep his mouth shut but apparently he doesn’t care.

One Redditor recalls an instance in which he and a female friend encountered Adam Levine in real life. When the female friend approached Levine for an autograph, the Maroon 5 singer said, “I don’t give autographs to ugly chicks.” If the incredibly rude encounter is true, then more of Levine’s fans should know about his ways, don’t you think?

John Mayer Probably Thinks He’s Untouchable

Many stories have circulated regarding how John Mayer is in real life and there are plenty that depict him as one of the worst celebrities to meet. In one case, a Redditor recalled the time they were working at a hotel that John Mayer was staying at.

Mayer reportedly didn’t want to be seen by anyone and got really upset when this request wasn’t met. He refused to leave his tour bus until his room was ready and demanded that the hotel staff clear the lobby completely. Still, there were some guests walking to their own rooms and Mayer wasn’t happy about it.

Courtney Love Thinks She Owns The Place

Courtney Love seems to think that she can just waltz into any place and do as she pleases. At least, that’s what one person on Reddit said when recalling an event that they were working at.

The Reddit user worked in the production office and Love apparently just stormed in there and kicked everyone out just so she could do an interview. However, this Reddit user attempted to remove her and she refused. They then had to resort to physically picking her up and removing her from the office. Of course, she kicked and screamed the entire way out.

Bruno Mars Is Short And Stuck Up

Bruno Mars doesn’t have time for pictures apparently. One fan saw him at an airport and gestured for a picture. Unfortunately, Mars was pretty brusque with them and said no. The rejection was further emphasized by an intimidating body guard.

In his defense, he were at the airport and may have been rushing off somewhere. After all, if he stopped for everyone that asked for a picture or an autograph, he wouldn’t really get anywhere. Still, this fan’s recollection of seeing him doesn’t paint such a nice picture of the singer. Perhaps he could have offered a smile at least.

Not Everyone Knows Who Deadmau5 Is

Canadian DJ deadmau5 is not hard to miss. After all, he wears a giant mouse head so often that many people probably aren’t aware of how he actually looks. Without the mask, he’s just a guy named Joel Thomas Zimmerman. If more people knew what he looked like, then this encounter might have gone down easier.

But apparently famous DJs also get a false sense of entitlement sometimes and when someone wouldn’t let Zimmerman into a restricted area without a proper escort, he actually felt inclined to use that “do you know who I am?” line. Of course, deadmau5’s version was more explicit.

Don’t Try To Share An Elevator With Will.i.am

The Black Eyed Peas seem like a friendly bunch, but meet them individually and you might just change your perspective. One person on Reddit recalled the time they were in Hong Kong at the same time that the Black Eyed Peas did a show there.

Later at a nightclub, the Redditor needed to use an elevator and slipped his hand in between the doors as they were closing. Inside the elevator was Will.i.am. He too pulled the “do you know who I am?” card and proceeded to kick the Redditor out of the elevator!

Avril Lavigne Didn’t Need Your Unsolicited Comments

Avril Lavigne might be a little sensitive about her height. One person on Reddit recalls meeting her at a concert at a mall, presumably when she was at the height of her growing fame. After the concert, Lavigne signed autographs for fans but when she came to the person in question, things got a little awkward.

Apparently the Redditor’s friend said, “You’re a lot taller on TV” and Lavigne thought that the Redditor had said it. Avril Lavigne proceeded to give them the dirtiest glare ever, even though that person wasn’t the one who said it.

Metal Guitarist Karl Sanders Was Pretty Rude To This Fan

Nile is an American death metal band from South Carolina and Karl Sanders is the guitarist of that band. One Redditor who is a fan of Nile once had the opportunity to meet them when they were 14 years old.

This fan was able to get pictures with all the band members, but when it came to Sanders, he said, “I don’t have time for you [expletive] kids.” The fan was presumably crushed, since Sanders was his favorite guitarist. For what it’s worth, the lead singer of Nile later came up and said, “Don’t worry about him, he’s a [expletive].”
