Robyn's 'Missing U' Is Here
The Swedish pop star makes a welcome return with new single, 'Missing U.'

All good things come to those who wait. And we have waited for close to a decade! On October 26, Robyn will roll out a new album — eight, long years after the arrival of Body Talk in 2010. The opus is called Honey and it is already available to (pre) pre-order. The Swedish pop icon announced the much-anticipated project in an Instagram video earlier this morning (September 19) and listed Joseph Mount of Metronomy, Klas Åhlund, Kindness and Mr. Tophat as collaborators on the album.

“I’m on the set for my first music video for this album and I just wanted to tell you in person that it’s going to be out really soon,” the 39-year-old says, wearing a comfy robe. “It’s called Honey and it will be released on the 26th of October and I really can’t wait for you to hear it. It’s a personal album and there’s so many things that have happened throughout making it that it just really hard for me to explain it in one go. I think maybe the best way is for your to listen to it. I’m so happy that it’s finally done.” So are we!

The first taste of Honey (if you exclude the unfinished demo of the title track) is the sublime “Missing U,” which pretty much picked up where Robyn left off in the late ’00s — with icy synths and an emotional vocal. I’m so thrilled the album finally has a name and a release date. Welcome back to the One True Queen of Electro. Watch the comeback queen’s announcement video below.
