UPDATE: Halsey shared the “Without Me” teaser footage on social media today (September 25). You can watch it below.

It has been just over a year since Halsey unveiled her sophomore LP, hopeless fountain kingdom, and it looks like a new era is on the way. The hitmaker is currently playing the last few shows on her world tour. During a stop in London on Sunday (September 23), she announced plans to release a track called “Without Me” in the coming weeks. Broadcasting a teaser video onstage, she provided the first taste of what to expect. “Said I’d catch you if you fall,” the screen read between footage of the siren standing in the rain. “Does it ever get lonely.” She also offered a taste of the sonic direction and shared some more lyrics. “If they laugh then fuck them all,” she sang over an atmospheric production. “Baby, I’m the one who puts you up there. I don’t know why.” In all, it sounds like an emotional smash is on the way.

As the video came to a conclusion Halsey confirmed the title and release date. “Without Me” is scheduled to drop October 4. With any luck this will be another massive hit for the 23-year-old. Earlier this month, Halsey took to social media to celebrate her Diamond plague for her collaboration with The Chainsmokers on “Closer.” She also soared into the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Bad At Love” last year and is currently climbing the charts alongside Benny Blanco and Khalid on “Eastside.” The earnest earworm is sitting at the number 28 spot on the Hot 100 and topped the charts in the UK. Considering her hot streak, I wouldn’t be surprised to see “Without Me” soar up the charts upon its release. Keep an eye peeled for more news about the release. In the meantime, check out footage from this weekend’s announcement below!
