Ashley Tisdale’s new era is nearly upon us. Earlier this summer the “He Said She Said” icon announced plans to save pop music with the unveiling of her new LP Symptoms. “I’m so excited for this album,” the 33-year-old raved about the release back in July. And it seems like its arrival is closer than ever before. Over the past month, the Oscar-robbed actress that brought Sharpay Evans to life has ramped up the teasers on social media. “You might think you know me, but you have no idea…” she captioned a post from the studio in early September. Then last week she shared a photo from what appears to be a video shoot. Dress in a billowing gown, she stands at the edge of a covered bridge. “I can see the light much better now,” she wrote in the caption. Are these lyrics to her lead single? I don’t know, but I’m dying for more.

Over the weekend she uploaded the most telling teaser yet. In a short video, the pop princess wears a pair of black angel wings and matching heels. Feathers rain down as she rises from a crouching position. “A new era is coming,” she vowed. Fans were quick to note that the footage isn’t new. In fact, it comes from her previously released music video for “Crank It Up.” However, some are speculating that the darker imagery may have inspired her forthcoming opus. I’m very here for the hitmaker delivering all things fabulous and edgy once again. After all, 2009’s aptly titled Guilty Pleasure did just that, and Ashley has continually proved she has the pop chops with a series of standalone projects.

Last year she linked up with friend and High School Music co-star Vanessa Hudgens for a sublime cover of Elle King’s “Ex’s & Oh’s.” If we’re truly lucky the divas will get together once again on a single off the new album. We already know that Symptoms was created with the help of songwriter and producer John Feldmann. “I’ve been in and out of the studio for the last four years and teaming up with John Feldmann has allowed me to create the most authentic album to date. I’ve co-written every song on the album and it’s so personal to me,” Ashley said of the project.

While we don’t know exactly when the collection will arrive, one thing is abundantly clear. With every new teaser it gets more exciting. Check out her angelic promise below!
