DJ Snake vowed that “Taki Taki” would be a volcanic hit, and he is delivering on his promise. The French hitmaker’s collaboration with Selena Gomez, Cardi B and Ozuna is a massive banger celebrating Latin music. And it is absolutely dominating streaming services. In one week, fans have listened to it nearly 29 million times on Spotify alone. Amassing more than 4.5 million streams in the last day, the single is currently topping Spotify’s Global Top 50 chart. It is sitting comfortably within the Top 10 on the US Top 50, and the song has been listened to more than 25 million times on YouTube. Next week it will get a belated boost with the release of its music video.

Today (October 5), the quartet revealed that they teamed up with YouTube Music to premiere the video on October 9. In a 20-second teaser that appeared alongside the announcement, we get a sense of what to expect when it finally arrives. Suffice it to say that they spared no expense. In one scene the camera pans across the group as thunder crashes. Wearing red against a dark background (it appears they are posing in front of an erupting volcano), they bring the heat. The scene is followed by a montage of footage that promises even more is on the horizon. I’m expecting that the Colin Tilley-directed visual will be a viral sensation that will help “Taki Taki” fly up the charts. Check out the teaser below and let us know if you agree!
