Cardi B Poses For ‘W’ Magazine, Talks Nicki Minaj Feud & Pregnancy
Cardi B channels Latina bombshells of yesteryear in a stunning shoot in W Magazine. Photographed by Mickalene Thomas, the glitzy images show a whole new side of the notoriously down-to-earth rapper. After all, this is a woman that threw a stiletto at Nicki Minaj at a New York Fashion Week event — an incident she addresses in the cover story. “For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me,” the three-time chart-topper explains. “I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going.”
It seems that Cardi snapped when she allegedly saw Nicki like and then unlike a tweet disparaging her parenting skills. “I was going to make millions off my Bruno Mars tour, and I sacrificed that to stay with my daughter,” she continues. “I love my daughter. I’m a good-ass fucking mom. So for somebody that don’t have a child to like that comment? So many people want to say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch another artist in the grocery store or down the block.”
In addition to clearing up that iconic moment in pop culture, the “I Like It” hitmaker also opened up about her pregnancy. “When I got pregnant, I was fucking freaking out,” Cardi admits. “Everybody around me was like, ‘No, this never happened before. Every artist that had a baby, they already put in years in the game. This is your first year. You’re going to mess it up.
