Calum Scott pays tribute to his hometown with nostalgic 'What I Miss Most' video.

Calum Scott celebrates National Coming Out Day by sharing his own journey to self-acceptance. The Brit, who landed a global hit with a cover of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own,” begins by talking about his happy childhood and subsequent feelings of alienation when hormones kicked in and he realized he was different. While there’s a heartbreaking anecdote about the 29-year-old’s best friend unforgivable response to his coming out, this moving profile is ultimately uplifting and inspiring. (Watch above).

“I know that there are people young and old struggling with the same questions, and living with that relentless fear and heartbreak,” Calum explains. “I make the music I do because I want to inspire the right kind of conversations. If one less kid can grow up without hiding who they are along the way or having to believe that who they love is something that will make them lonely, then everything I went through will be worth it.” The rising star is currently enjoying another smash with “You Are The Reason” (145 million+ Spotify streams, 280 million+ YouTube views).
