Sia has had an exceptionally busy 2018, and she isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The prolific hitmaker graced us with so much new material this year, starting with a high-octane remix of “Helium.” The Aussie followed that up with a handful of soundtrack appearances before reuniting with David Guetta on “Flames.” While that would be enough for most acts, it was merely a warmup for the “Cheap Thrills”-loving siren. She went on form pop supergroup LSD with Diplo and Labrinth. Together they dropped a trio of bops, the best of which being “Thunderclouds.” Then she partnered with Dolly Parton on an unexpected but gorgeous remake of “Here I Am,” contributed a second song to Guetta’s 7 LP and partnered with Amazon to debut “Step By Step.”

She has a writing credit on Jennifer Lopez’s “Limitless,” which debuted at the AMAs earlier this week. I’m gasping for breath, but Sia isn’t done yet. Today (October 12), she graced us with her latest project, “I’m Still Here.” The track is in support of her recent collaboration with French fashion house Repetto. The 42-year-old launched a capsule collection of dance shoes including slippers and ballerina flats and commemorated the moment with a stirring new single. True to form, her latest is another soaring midtempo with powerful vocals. “I’m fighting a battle. I’m fighting my shadow,” she fragilely admits on the opening lines.

However, instead of giving up, she finds the strength to persevere. “Oh the past, it haunted me. Oh the past, it wanted me dead. Oh the past tormented me. But the battle was lost, cause I’m still here,” she confidently belts. It is a moment of triumph, and it has all the makings to be Sia’s next smash hit. More importantly, its message is seriously inspiring. “I love you, keep going,” she encouraged in a post on Instagram earlier this week. While it doesn’t necessarily make me want to buy new shoes, “I’m Still Here” is guaranteed to make you feel invincible. It is also yet another solid gem in the superstar’s ever-growing discography.
