Mariah Carey Reveals The Immaculate Cover Of 15th LP, ‘Caution’
Mariah Carey isn’t fucking around this era! From the initial buzz track going viral (“GTFO” got all the girls talking) to that stunning performance of “With You” at the American Music Awards, everything has gone according to plan. The flawless rollout continued yesterday with Mimi casually revealing the title — Caution is suitably fierce and mysterious — while descending a staircase in an evening gown. It reaches a crescendo today with the arrival of the cover art. The Perfect Angel (she lied) always looks immaculate, but this is a serve.
With all the pieces falling into place for Mariah, it will be interesting to see if radio plays along. “With You” is the kind of song that gets stuck in your head after a couple of listens… but that’s not going to happen if the slinky ballad isn’t blessing the airwaves on an hourly basis. Keep your fingers crossed, Lambs! As far as the tracklist, we should know more on Thursday (October 18) when the album is made available to pre-order. At this point, we know it contains “GTFO,” “With You” and track called “Portrait,” which Mimi previously mentioned on Twitter.
