EDIT: The title of Cher Lloyd’s new single is “None Of My Business.” See her announcement at the bottom of the post.

It looks like Cher Lloyd’s third studio album is finally on the way. Today (October 16), the “Want U Back” hitmaker shared that she signed with Universal Music Group. “Excited to announce that i’ve signed with @universalmusicgroup for my upcoming release,” she wrote alongside a new promotional picture. “More news coming very soon! I can’t wait to finally share what we’ve been working on!!” It turns out the 25-year-old wasn’t kidding when she said very soon. Moments later, she revealed that she has a new single dropping October 19. “SO excited to announce that my new single is out THIS FRIDAY,” she teased. We don’t have a title yet, but based on the photo alongside the announcement, it seems like we can expect a bop.

This will be Cher’s first solo single since she did the damn thing on “Activated” back in 2016. The infectious anthem received an equally sultry video and was heralded as the first taste of her third album. Around then, the English siren opened up about the project. “I’ve waited two years to have creative control of my own career and finally do things my way,” she said. “Returning with new music and releasing ‘Activated’ is such a huge deal for me. I’ve been working hard on new music and I cannot wait to reveal more to you all!” However, the album was hit by a couple of serious delays. Earlier this summer, the feisty singer linked up with Joakim Molitor on “4U.” If the earnest, electro-kissed bop is indicative of what to expect from Cher’s new material, then I am absolutely ready for her return.

Cher has been teasing her comeback on social media for the last couple of months, and it seems like the time is right for her to return. The X Factor alum has already conquered the charts with two pristine albums, and she is absolutely capable of doing so once again. Check out her announcements and new promo pic below while we wait for Friday to arrive!
