The Kings of K-Pop are back at it! Today (October 25), BTS linked up with Steve Aoki to unveil a new song called “Waste It On Me.” After working with the super-producer on a high-octane remix of “MIC DROP” and their Love Yourself: Tear track, “The Truth Untold,” the septet hopped on a single for his forthcoming LP, Neon Future III. A breezy anthem, it has the distinction of being their first song performed entirely in English. On it, the hitmakers deliver an impassioned request to a potential lover.

“You say love is messed up. You say that it don’t work. You don’t wanna try,” they sing over the twinkling production. However, instead of accepting the futility of it all, the “IDOL” legends make one last request. “So if love is nothing more than just a waste of your time, waste it on me.” Building up to a sing-along chorus, it sounds like a serious hit. And considering BTS’ hot streak, it is sure to make a strong showing on the charts. I would not be remotely surprised to see them return to the Billboard Hot 100 in the coming weeks.

This morning we received a colorful lyric video, but there is even more good news. In an interview, Steve confirmed that an official music video was also on the way. “There’s a legit music video coming for this song,” he promised. “I do not want to give away any leaks on it because it’s so, so, so awesome. I’m so excited to share it with you guys.” We don’t have an official release date yet, but hopefully it will arrive in the near future.

In the meantime, check out the pastel-hued lyric video and give the future hit a listen below!
