Lauren Daigle Interview
We speak to the rising star about crossover hit 'You Say' & her next single.

Lauren Daigle made a triumphant late-night TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (November 7). The breakout star, who has a multi-format smash on her hands with “You Say,” took the audience to church with a stunning rendition of “Look Up Child.” While it was somewhat surprising that she didn’t perform her current single, the title track of her album felt perfect for the occasion (and for the state of America). “Where are You now, when darkness seems to win? Where are You now, when the world is crumbling?” the 27-year-old began the song.

Happily, Lauren knows the answer and shared it on the chorus. “Oh I… hear You say, I hear You say, look up child,” she belted with the help of her choir-like backing vocalists. It’s rare to see Christian-pop cutting through like this, but the Louisiana native combines so much soul into her music that it breaches genres. Her songs also have a healing quality that is difficult to describe. They just elevate you and make you feel better. Watch Lauren’s note-perfect performance up top and get familiar with her rising hit below.
