Ashley Tisdale Finds Peace In Her Sun-Dappled “Voices In My Head” Video

One of 2018’s happiest surprises was the musical comeback of Ashley Tisdale. The 33-year-old returned to the pop game with the unveiling of her fabulous “Voices In My Head” last week. Obviously, the icon has a bop on her hands. The heartfelt anthem serves as the first taste of a forthcoming album called Symptoms and was met with warm reviews. On it, the thespian responsible for bringing Sharpay Evans to life opens up about her insecurities. “All the voices in my head, always try to break me, fuck me up and change me,” she admits. However, she vows to not let them get in her way any longer. “But talk is cheap. This is the last time I listen to the voices in my head.” And she follows through on that promise in the official video, which arrived today (November 14).

The Brian Petchers-directed release doesn’t follow a specific plot and instead serves as a high-quality glamour reel. However, the “He Said She Said” diva has rarely seemed more at peace. And the sun-dappled footage of her sitting in a tree is worth your attention because it is utterly gorgeous. Ashley opened up about the single and her decision to address her personal struggles with anxiety and depression in a recent interview for Access Live. “I wanted to make someone at home feel less alone in their journey. It’s hard to be vulnerable,” she explained. “It’s scary, but I think that it’s important to share what I’ve been through, and say that I’m human and I go through those things too.”

As it stands, Symptoms is shaping up to be one of my most anticipated releases in the coming months. The only thing that could make it better is a collaboration with Vanessa Hudgens. Hopefully I can dream that into existence. In the meantime check out Ashley’s new video below!
