Billie Eilish truly has the magic touch. The 16-year-old is one of the brightest talents that has emerged in recent years. And she is on the verge of a commercial breakthrough. If you need any evidence (beyond her incredible streaming numbers), look no further than a co-sign from Apple. The company selected the “Lovely” singer to soundtrack their “Share Your Gifts” campaign with her new song, “Come Out And Play.” Co-written and produced by brother and frequent collaborator Finneas O’Connell, it is a gentle ballad with a powerful message about sharing your gifts. “And I know it makes you nervous. But I promise you it’s worth it to show ’em everything you kept inside,” she urges. “Too shy to say, but I hope you stay. Don’t hide away. Come out and play.”

“Well the whole idea of the ad is share your gifts and the whole song is just about that,” Billie explained while premiering it on Apple Music’s Beats 1. “Just let it out. You know I don’t think anybody should have to not give what they’ve been given.” The anthem pairs well with the adorable video, which features a shy, creative girl and her rambunctious dog. It is also another serious win for the rising star. I wouldn’t be surprised if the track dominates streaming services in the coming weeks. After all, her last single, “when the party’s over,” has been streamed more than 82 million times on Spotify. The accompanying video has been viewed more than 47 million times. Her latest should keep us busy while she keeps working on her debut album.
