Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson's 'Nothing Breaks Like A Heart' has a release date.

Mark Ronson’s much-anticipated collaboration with Miley Cyrus, “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart,” arrives tonight and it promises to set the tone for the producer’s 5th LP. In an interview with BBC, the 43-year-old opened up about the project, describing it as a collection of “sad bangers.” It wasn’t intentional, however. “That’s kind of what made the collaborators on this record — more so than choosing a person for a musical style — they were all like-minded people, or people who were going through some traumatic personal stuff,” he revealed.

“It doesn’t always have to be depressing, I tried doing some other music… but the only stuff that started to stick was the stuff that moved me and made me feel melancholy,” Mark continued. “Once I had two or three of those, I started to see all this as an album.” Not that the Grammy-winner is taking credit for bringing heartbreak to the dancefloor. “Obviously, I didn’t invent ‘sad bangers’, far from it,” he admitted, before listing some favorites. “‘Don’t Leave Me This Way,’ ‘I Will Survive,’ the entire outputs of Robyn and Drake.”

The Brit then spoke about his collaboration with Miley. “I heard the drawl in her voice and the twang when I saw her live on SNL,” Mark explained. “My jaw dropped and I became super-fixated about being able to work with her.” Not that he planned to make a country song. “I think with Miley, just the way she wrote the verses and the way the melody came out, came naturally.” The “Uptown Funk” chart-topper also revealed a couple of other collaborators including Lykke Li, YEBBA and breakout star King Princess.
