Bebe Rexha Shares A Snippet Of Jennifer Lopez Singing “Self Control”

Bebe Rexha made a splash with her debut album Expectations earlier this year. Buoyed by strong streaming numbers and the breakout success of mega-hit “Meant To Be,” the LP was certified gold in the US on the day of its release. Since then, the 29-year-old landed another respectable hit with “I’m A Mess.” The eternally relatable anthem went Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and amassed more than 161 million streams on Spotify. The rising star has turned her attention to promoting her David Guetta and J Balvin collab, “Say My Name.” However, it is nearly time for her to consider a new single off the LP. And what better option than “Self Control”? The Andrew Wells-produced bop is a highlight and deserves it’s time to shine.

And the track is all the more appealing now we know a version exists with Jennifer Lopez signing on it. Yes, you read that right. Earlier this week the EUPHORIA. magazine cover girl uploaded the mysterious snippet to her Instagram story. “Bet you didn’t know this version existed,” she teased. As a matter of fact, we didn’t. But since she shared a taste, it would be much appreciated if Bebe could go ahead and unleash the full version. Better yet, she and J.Lo should transform the song into a duet and release it to radio. Immediately. It’s currently unclear when the “Te Guste” legend recorded her version. For all we know it could be a demo from before Bebe decided to keep it for herself. That being said, I won’t give up hope that something is on the way.
