Dua Lipa is rapidly establishing herself as one of our most reliable pop stars. After the breathtaking success of “New Rules,” the hitmaker extended her reign on the charts through 2018. She kicked off the year with her follow-up single, “IDGAF,” which went Top 3 in the UK. “One Kiss,” a collaboration with Calvin Harris, notched the 23-year-old her second number 1. Then, she returned to the Top 5 alongside Diplo and Mark Ronson (collectively Silk City) on “Electricity.” That’s not all. Despite not being released as an official single, her BLACKPINK collaboration “Kiss And Make Up” went Top 40. To top it all off, she nabbed a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2019 Grammys. And today (December 17), she announced the title of her next new song. Called “Swan Song,” it will appear on the soundtrack for Anita: Battle Angel.

The “Blow Your Mind (Mwah)” hitmaker unveiled the dark and mysterious cover on social media. “Official song by yours truly with the help of my friends Justin, Kennedi, Junkie XL and Mattman & Robin,” she captioned the photo. “So proud to be involved in such an incredible movie with a badass female protagonist! Thank you to the whole #Alita team for bringing this character to life. Thank you James Cameron, Jon Landau, Robert Rodriguez and 20th Century Fox for this opportunity . EVERYONE HAS TO SEE THIS MOVIE!! ⚔️⛓❤️⚔️⛓❤️ (We made a music video too and that was a lot of fun to shoot! Can’t wait for you to see).” The only thing she neglected to announce is a release date. However, it seems safe to assume we’ll hear “Swan Song” sometime before the film premieres February 14.

While we wait for more details, check out the official cover and announcement below!
