Miley Cyrus & Mark Ronson Absolutely Nailed Their ‘SNL’ Performances
Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson’s excellent “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” got off to a relatively slow start on the Billboard Hot 100, but it has caught fire in the wake of viral performance on Saturday Night Live. The country-pop banger is currently sitting at number two on iTunes and rapidly closing in on number one. It seems that Middle America just needed to hear a gutsy live rendition and be shocked by a little side-boob for the song to take off. Happily, the duo delivered on both fronts.
Let’s start with Miley’s ensemble, which somehow managed to generate faux-outrage despite being more conservative than anything in her Bangerz wardrobe. She looked amazing and upset a bunch of weirdos. So congrats on that. More importantly, the 26-year-old sounded incredible — showcasing the grit and gravel of her very-underrated voice. The duo returned later in the show to perform their cover of “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” with a little help from Sean Ono Lennon. Watch them in action above and below.
