5SOS Go Pop On 'Want You Back'
They're back! 5 Seconds Of Summer returns with the pop-leaning 'Want You Back.'

It looks like 5 Seconds Of Summer has selected “Lie To Me” as the next single off Youngblood. And they’re celebrating the decision by teaming up with Julia Michaels on a new version of the emo anthem. Out today (December 21), the new version stays true to the original production. However, the “Jump” hitmaker’s evocative voice adds some additional depth to the mix. “It’s 3 AM, and the moonlight’s testing me. I know that you’ve been holding on to someone else. And now I can’t sleep,” she admits over the sparse instrumentation. After “Youngblood” dominated radio this summer, this slower moment is the perfect way for the Aussie rockers to close out the year.

The collaboration is one in a slew of reimagined tracks that have arrived over the course of the last few days. It all started with Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson’s cover of Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left To Cry.” After that Jennifer Lopez hopped on a remix of Nio Garcia and Casper Magico’s “Te Bote.” Meanwhile, Maluma, Anitta and Becky G put a fresh spin on “Mala Mia” for New Music Friday. I love how collaborative pop has been this week, and Julia and 5SOS’s duet is no exception. That’s not all though. The guys also released a live recording from their Meet You There Tour. Stream the new version of “Lie To Me” and get a taste of their last tour below!
