Lauren Jauregui Announces The Release Of Her New Single “More Than That”
UPDATE: Lauren Jauregui unveiled the cover of “More Than That,” and it is a literal work of art. Check it out below!
Lauren Jauregui is hitting her stride in 2019. Last year saw the 22-year-old set the scene for sustained solo success. It all started with her debut solo single – “Expectations.” The sexy and soulful bop was a departure from her work with Fifth Harmony and highlighted her full potential. She also graced the covers of a slew of magazines and offered some hints about a forthcoming LP. Now, she is gearing up to drop a second taste of that album. Last night (January 7) the glam diva took to Instagram to announce the release of her second single – “More Than That.” The song drops Friday (January 11) and is available for fans to pre-save here.
“Hello, Instagram. I just wanted to pass by and say hello and that I am dropping a new song on January 11. It’s called ‘More Than That’,” she teased in a video. Fans were quick to note Lauren live-premiered the track during an election afterparty for MTV. Video surfaced from the event, and it sounds like she has another potential hit on her hands. This one is a self-assured bop that lays down the ground rules for a fling. “Wanna take me home, better be more convincing,” she coos. “It’ll take more than that to get tonight.” Boasting more of a pop production, this could be the song to help her land her first solo debut on the Billboard Hot 100.
Friday is shaping up to be a good week for new releases. It is the day fellow 5H alum Normani and Sam Smith are dropping their joint anthem – “Dancing With A Stranger.” We’re waiting with bated breath to see what both ladies have in store for the new year. In the meantime, check out Lauren’s announcement below!
