Justin Bieber Will Release A Greatest Hits Album Called ‘The Best’

Justin Bieber is celebrating his 10-year anniversary in style. Back in 2009, the then-teen released his first single after attracting the attention of Scooter Braun on YouTube. The rest is, of course, history. With hits like “Baby,” “Boyfriend” and “Sorry,” the 24-year-old has no shortage of bangers to his name. And he plans on compiling all of his biggest singles onto a greatest hits album to commemorate the upcoming professional milestone. Titled The Best, the collection is due to arrive February 27. The “What Do You Mean” hitmaker hasn’t commented on the release just yet. However, Universal Music Japan confirmed the news and unveiled a cover on Instagram.

With four albums and plenty of massive collaborations, Justin has no shortage of material to fill out the tracklist. If I had to guess, I’d say the Purpose era will be most heavily represented. After all, it is the one that yielded his first three chart toppers on the Billboard Hot 100. Beyond that, it is just a question of what other bops he will toss on to fill things out. It also remains to be seen if he’ll use the compilation as a chance to drop some new music. Although the Canadian superstar has remained pretty tight-lipped on details about his time in the recording studio, he has teased that something is on the way.

On Instagram last year he uploaded a video of a little girl who was worried he had quit. “Don’t believe everything you read sweet little girl,” he wrote. “you will hear something from me sooner than you think.” Meanwhile, Braun sent fans into tailspins by mentioning a new album in a since-deleted tweet. Hopefully that means we’ll be getting at least one new song come February.
