Lauren Jauregui’s solo career could very easily take flight on the back of “More Than That.” After kicking things off with last year’s soulful “Expectations,” the Fifth Harmony hitmaker is back in more familiar territory on her new single. And it is all coming together nicely. From the gorgeous cover (seriously, it belongs in The Louvre) to the feisty production courtesy of Murda Beatz and Charlie Handsome, it all screams hit. The anthem has amassed more than 3 million streams on Spotify in the last week. And with a performance or two, it could easily debut on the Billboard Hot 100 in the near future. Thankfully, the accompanying video is bound to give it a spike as well.

Released today (January 18), it is a visual feast. She gushed about the project in a quote shared with Vogue. “I couldn’t be more grateful that the world gets to see it now,” she said. Inspired by Greek mythology, the Lauren Dunn-directed release sees the 22-year-old and a crew of girls enter a club called Olympus. According to myth, this is the home of the gods. However, here it is a different sort of paradise where the ladies find plenty of entertainment. In other scenes, Lauren channels Aphrodite – the goddess of love. Those moments are particularly breathtaking and celebrate the female divine in a way that reminds me of Ariana Grande’s “God Is A Woman.” Hopefully this can get just as much recognition because it is well-deserved. Check out the luxurious video below.
