Future Hit! Troye Sivan & Lauv Join Forces On The Relatable “I’m So Tired…”
It’s here! Last week, Troye Sivan and Lauv set social media ablaze by announcing plans to drop a joint single called “I’m So Tired…” The news came after they compiled a mellow playlist guaranteed to bring listeners sweet dreams. All things considered, I expected them to deliver a peaceful anthem of their own. It turns out that I could not have been more wrong. Instead, they’re hitting us with an absolute bop. Out today (January 23), it sees the hitmakers battle classic cases of heartbreak by throwing themselves into a crowd. Of course, it is not as effective a plan as they clearly hoped. “Party, trying my best to meet somebody. But everybody around me is falling in love to our song,” Lauv laments on the first verse. “Hate it. Taking a shot cause I can’t take it.”
Troye shares a similar sentiment. “Strangers. Filling my lonely nights with strangers. And when they leave I go back to our song,” he croons. “Hurts like heaven. Lost in the sound.” Their exhaustion comes into play on the chorus: “I’m so tired of love songs, tired of love songs, tired of love songs. Tired of love.” Clearly, their attempts to dance away heartbreak aren’t going so well. However, the subject material could not be more relatable for anyone trying to escape a recent breakup. Even better, the song sounds like it could easily notch them a solid smash. Hopefully they have plans to roll out a music video and a couple performances in the coming weeks. I’d love to see this dominate the charts, and, with the right push, it easily could.
In the meantime, press play on the bop below!
