Ally Brooke is the latest member of Fifth Harmony to kickstart her solo career in earnest. The “He Like That” vocalist has taken her time getting ready. That’s not to say she hasn’t been testing the waters for a while now. The 25-year-old built up to this moment with a handful of collabs (“Vámonos” with Kris Kross Amsterdam and Messiah being a standout), a festive cover and a Weight Watchers theme song (legends only). However, she makes it well worth the wait with the unveiling of her debut single “Low Key.” Out today (January 31), the Tyga-assisted bop has the potential to take her career to the next level. Over slinky beats, it sees her tease a potential lover with the promise of a relationship.

“Low key, low key you should really get to know me,” she coos over a Latin-infused production. “Yeah, I know you’ve got some things that you could show me. Low key, low key you should really get to know me.” This could very easily net her a hit right out of the gate. And the accompanying video shows just as much promise. In it, the rising (solo) star shows off her dance abilities with a heavily choreographed routine. Serving fierce looks and one hell of a ponytail, it’s a solid watch from start to finish. Her major appeal is on full display, and it looks like Ally may be the next member of 5H making an appearance on the charts. Give the track a first listen below and check out the video here!
