Astrid S Serves Looks In Slightly Surreal “Someone New” Video
Astrid S has a hit on her hands with “Someone New.” Co-written with Charli XCX and Noonie Bao (Carly Rae Jepsen’s seminal “Run Away With Me”), the instantly catchy banger finds the Norwegian pop star obsessing about an ex. The latest gem from the 22-year-old’s upcoming debut LP will gain even more momentum from the striking video. “I wanted to explore and visualize all the creative sides of Astrid,” director Lina Söderström explains. “This gave her the opportunity to express and share her herself through different movement, fashion and spaces.”
“By working with different types of visual effects, set design and styling we got to bring these different worlds together in a surrealistic and dreamy way,” she continues. As for Astrid? Well, she just wanted to let her hair down. “I wanted it to be fun and simple… and I wanted to be able to express myself through style and different looks.” The breakout star well and truly achieves that goal.
