Dean Lewis Reveals The Cover & Tracklist Of ‘A Place We Knew’
Dean Lewis is at the forefront of the stripped-back singer/songwriter movement currently taking over Spotify. “Be Alright,” the 31-year-old’s breakthrough hit, has been streamed 390 million times (and rising fast) and finally crossed over to pop radio. With Dean’s gut-wrenching breakup anthem recently cracking the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, it’s the perfect time for him to announce his debut album. A Place We Knew arrives on March 22 and boasts suitably low-key and strangely melancholy cover art.
As for the tracklist, the album includes “Be Alright” and the recently-released “7 Minutes.” Other songs making the cut include 2016 viral hit “Waves” (it has more than 100 million streams to its credit) and Same Kind Of Different EP highlight, “Chemicals.” It’s never easy to break a new artist, but Island has done a great job of slowly building Dean’s US profile with support slots on bigger tours and a steady stream of content.
