Two New Singles! Carly Rae Jepsen Announces “No Drug Like Me”
Edit: Post has been edited with an extended preview of “No Drug Like Me.” Listen below.
When it rains, it pours. Carly Rae Jepsen is releasing two new singles on Wednesday (February 27). The Canadian pop star fired up her social media accounts this morning to share the news. “Oh yeah, there’s another one,” she quipped, before announcing “No Drug Like Me.” It follows the arrival of a lengthy preview of “Now That I Found You” last week. “Waking up next to you every morning, how did we get this far?” the hitmaker ponders over sugary sweet synths. “It came without a warning.”
“My heart’s a secret, I think I’m coming alive, I think I’m coming alive with you,” Carly Rae coos on the chorus. “Tell me you’ll keep it, I think I’m coming alive, yeah I come alive with you.” The 33-year-old has been chipping away at this album for the best part of three years. She has already recorded more than 80 songs (including a batch of ’70s-referencing bops that are destined to gather dust on her laptop for eternity) and worked with some of pop’s biggest names. See her latest announcement below.
